...and relax!

Sometimes a challenging job, family demands, or just surviving the unexpected events of life can feel like a constant test – does the phrase “I feel stressed” sound familiar to you? Are you saying it on a weekly or daily basis? If that looming sense of disaster is never-ending it could be a sign of chronic anxiety, and your stress-response most likely needs support in order to rebalance itself.

If you are suffering from anxiety due to stress it is best to look at all the factors in your life that may be causing the stress; whether it is from a demanding career, home life, family issues, or it could be coming from environmental and lifestyle toxins that affect our neurochemistry. All these factors are going to have a play on how our body deals with feelings of dread, unpreparedness, and racing thoughts and physical reactions. Chronic stress trains your brain to feel anxious — it wants you to “remember” so you can anticipate and avoid more stress in the future.

You may consider supplementing with CBD (cannabidiol) as a means to manage your stress in order to aid relaxation and de-stress particularly in the evenings after a hectic day at work.

More research is showing evidence of CBD products as an anti-anxiety supplement with effectiveness for:

  • Generalized anxiety disorder
  • Panic disorder
  • Social anxiety disorder
  • Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

CBD is being used to help manage stress particularly on a functional level. When you consume CBD the cannabis compound interacts with a system in your body called the endogenous cannabinoid system, which basically helps to regulate your central nervous system. It also helps your body deal with responses to internal and external factors and stressors.

Through this specific interaction, CBD seems to have a positive impact on one’s ability to cope with stress and to stabilize mood. Therefore, CBD products are growing in popularity with people who don’t suffer from a severe chronic stress condition, but perhaps have a low level of constant stress in their lives. They are using CBD to help promote a sense of calm, aid relaxation, as well as, support focus and the management of normal day-to-day stresses.
